Currently the region’s blood supply is low. To meet this urgent need, there will be a Blood Drive at the Guilderland Public Library on Monday, January 22, from 1 pm to 6 pm. Sponsored by the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce, this blood drive will help ensure that this precious gift of life is on-hand for the patients who need your help to survive an accident or illness. We all depend on this perishable resource. Blood is an emergency medicine and must always be readily available.
Please call the Chamber office at 456-6611 to schedule an appointment.
And, just in case you didn’t know, January is National Volunteer Blood Donor Month. The American Red Cross Blood Services, New York-Penn Region is calling for all eligible donors to give blood to celebrate National Volunteer Blood Donor Month and strengthen the regional blood supply. Since 1970, January has been recognized as National Volunteer Blood Donor Month. During this annual, month-long observance, the blood banking community is encouraging healthy individuals to donate in January and regularly throughout the year.
